Volunteers are needed for the festival to help us run this smoothly. In exchange for working a 3 hour shift each day over the festival weekend, you will recieve a Weekend Pass. This pass inculdes 10x10 primitive camping area with vehicle. If you would like to be part of the setup & tear down crew, extra incentives will be given. These crews will need to be there the week of the festival and the week after. Volunteer postions are as follows - Ticket Booth Attendants, Gate Crew, Stage Hands, Trash Collection, Parking Attendants, Setup & Tear Down Crew & Security Staff. We also need Street Teams in Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro & Winston-Salem areas to hand out flyers and put up posters to get the word out about the festival.
On arrival at the festival site go to the ticket booth where your volunteer package will be waiting for you. ID is needed so make sure to bring ID with you. You will recieve in your package a weekend festival pass including 10x10 primitive camping area with vehicle. You will get your work schedule, shift times and location where you will need to be for your volunteer shift.
Make sure you know where to meet your crew for each shift you're assigned . If your not sure ask a member of staff at the ticket booth- they have all times and schedules. There will be an $50.00 deposit volunteer fee which will be fully refunded after your last shift. If you're a scheduled volunteer and need to cancel you must do it by August the 31st, or you may be charged a cancellation fee of $25.00. We need to rely on all our volunteers that we have scheduled, and not be left short handed during the festival. Exceptions maybe made if there is an emergency situation.

You must pre-register for a volunteer postion- this cannot be done on the day of the festival.
We can not use tickets already purchased as volunteer deposits.
All Volunteers MUST be 18 years of age or older.
No Alcohol during or begining of your shift. If you're intoxicated you will need to complete your shift after you're sober.
During the festival you may not alter your assigned shift unless you have confirmed it with all crew chiefs involved .
If at any point you are told you are not needed for your shift, report to the volunteer coordinator to get another assignment or you will be charged your whole deposit.
Parents volunteering, please find someone to watch your young children while on shift. It’s hard to volunteer and look after your children at the same time.
